2.2 Creating Security Groups

A security group is defined by the permissions given to a user when using your practice’s account in ICE Dental Systems.

  1. Click the My Profile icon My Profile icon in the menu bar.
  2. Use the My Profile bar (left side of screen) to navigate to Practice Setup -> Security Permissions -> Security Groups.
  3. Click the New Security Group button.
  4. In the Create Security Group dialog box, enter the security Group Name along with a Description.
  5. For each Role in the table there is a Permission that is displayed in a drop down. To change the permission for a role, click the drop down to display the available permissions, then click on the permission you want.
  6. When you have set the roles to their appropriate permission, click the Save button. The new security group will be visible in the Security Groups table.
  7. Click the Save Changes button. If you leave the page without saving, or click the Discard Changes button, the system will not remember any of the changes you have made.
